Annual "Peace in the Family Day" Event

Public Action for Arts and Education is proud to announce its partnership with the Chelsea Domestic Violence Task Force during their day of family fun at the 6th annual “Peace in the Family Day at Boston Park in Chelsea.

PAAE sponsored an Art Contest for approximately 200 children, who drew pictures following the theme of the day, “Peace in the Family.”

Children drew pictures to be entered into an Art Contest sponsored by Public Action for Arts and Education. There were three age categories and winners were chosen in each category. The kids had a great time preparing their artwork, which was displayed on fences for public viewing. The Art event selected children’s drawings that were later displayed at the local banks in Chelsea.

This event was offered to families and children free of charge!

We want to thank Saritin Martinez and Kelly Coursey of HarborCOV for their efforts to help organize the event.

The goal is to bring families together and provide access to the tools necessary to create a safe and healthy environment for their family, while promoting the importance of a violence-free community.
